iQ urinal controls
Project: Veltins-Arena
Location: Gelsenkirchen, Germany
Architect: HPP, Düsseldorf
Year: 2001
When the Veltins-Arena in Gelsenkirchen was opened in 2001, it was known as 'Arena AufSchalke', and considered the state-of-the-art arena in Europe. It can be transformed from an open-air football stadium to an enormous hall for the full range of top events in a matter of hours. It now hosts tennis and boxing matches, rock, pop and classical concerts, musicals, TV shows, and a huge range of conferences. 382 iQ urinal controls by Dallmer play a major role here. The management and construction team clearly favoured the rich feature set and flexibility of these innovative controls which facilitate optimum alignment of hygiene and efficiency in accordance with the fluctuating utilisation.
